YLD Live!, July 27

The Young Lawyers Division wants to hear from you! On July 27 at 12 p.m., join the YLD Executive Committee and other young lawyers at "YLD Live!," an interactive meeting that will address how the YLD can better benefit you. YLD Live! is open to all YLD members and will include a complimentary lunch.

Whether you have an idea for a program or an event that would help young lawyers, a specific topic you would like to see addressed in a CLE or panel discussion, or a suggestion for a program the YLD could undertake in the Philadelphia community, the YLD invites you to join our effort to shape the future of the profession.

Some things you can expect to learn are:

- The history of the YLD, its structure, and its mission
- How the YLD can benefit you through its programs and initiatives
- How to get involved with the YLD through social media
- Advice/suggestions if affected by the economic downturn
- Upcoming YLD events

In addition to hearing from members of the YLD Executive Committee, attendees will break into groups for a more personal discussion about what the YLD can do for you. Cabinet members will lead these groups and answer questions as well as keep track of suggestions, opinions, etc., for future follow-up.

We will also be auctioning off four $25 gift certificates to the Mexican Post at YLD Live!, giving you another great reason to join us.

YLD Live! will be held at the Philadelphia Bar Association's headquarters, 1101 Market St., in the 11th Floor Conference Room. Click here to register.

Team Philadelphia Bar Association will saddle up again this year and take part in the 37th Annual American Cancer Society Bike-a-Thon on Sunday, July 12.

The ride brings awareness to the issues of cancer and how it affects friends, families, colleagues and community. Another purpose of the ride is seeking to raise funds in support of cancer research. Recently, the Philadelphia Bar Association has taken a lead and sponsored a team to participate in the ride. This year, the Philadelphia Bar Association team is co-chaired by Mark Feinman and Jim Meyer. Click here to join the Philadelphia Bar Association team.

Riders who have participated in the past are encouraged to wear their Bar Association jerseys. A team photo will be taken at approximately 6:15 a.m. on July 12 in front of the U.S. Mint on 5th Street. For more information about the Bar Association team, contact Mark Feinman or Jim Meyer.
