Social Security Disability Law Committee
The Social Security Disability Law Committee shall arrange for, conduct and participate in meetings to encourage the exchange of ideas among members of the Bar Association, the local Administrative Law Judge corps and the Federal Bench with respect to current Social Security Disability Regulations and practical situations in representing disabled individuals in claims filed with the Social Security Administration. It shall monitor pending legislation in areas that affect individuals seeking Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits and make appropriate recommendations to the Board.
Monthly meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at noon at Bar Association Headquarters, 1101 Market Street. The luncheon meetings consist of a short presentation by a guest speaker of interest to members of the disability bar (Regional Representatives, Administrative Law Judges, Medical Experts, Vocational Experts, DAP Representatives, etc) followed by a question and answer period.
