RESOLUTION OF THE PHILADELPHIA BAR ASSOCIATION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE BYLAWS OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SECTION

WHEREAS, the Philadelphia Bar Association has a Criminal Justice Section;

WHEREAS, the Criminal Justice Section is governed by bylaws which were most recently approved by the Board of Governors in October 1995;

WHEREAS, those bylaws do not provide for the election of Section Co-Chairs;

WHEREAS, when the current bylaws were approved in October 1995, the voting rights of ad hoc appointees to the Section’s executive committee was left unresolved;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Governors approves the amendments of the Criminal Justice Section bylaws, in the form attached hereto, to specifically provide for the election of Co-Chairs under Art. III, Sec. 1, and to include a provision allowing ad hoc members of the executive committee to vote at the discretion of the elected members of the executive committee under Art. III, Sec. 4.
