Nominations Being Accepted for Thurgood Marshall Award
Nominations are being accepted for the Criminal Justice Section's Thurgood Marshall Award. The award will be presented at the Section's December Holiday Party. The purpose of the award is to represent the highest honor that the Criminal Justice Section can give to anyone, whether or not a member of the Section, who exemplifies the ideals of Justice Thurgood Marshall's career. The Award should be for longtime service, not an individual event, although a specific event can be the triggering factor. Additional information is found on the Criminal Justice Section Web page. This year's Thurgood Marshall Award Committee is chaired by Joe Mitchell. Nominations for the Thurgood Marshall Award should be forwarded to: joemitchellattorney@gmail.com or contact Joe at 215-557-7111. All nominations should include the full name, address and telephone number of both the nominee and the person submitting the nomination, a summary of the nominee's accomplishments, and any pertinent supporting material the committee should consider. All nominations must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22.
