Mayoral Candidates to Discuss Ethics April 23
Mayoral candidates Bob Brady, Dwight Evans, Chaka Fattah, Tom Knox, Michael Nutter and Al Taubenberger have been invited to address the issue of "Ethics in My Administration" at the Monday, April 23 meeting of the Professional Responsibility Committee.
The recently enacted city ethics legislation applies primarily to elected and appointed government officials and employees. Certain provisions, however, also apply to law firms, partnerships, corporations, business organizations and professional associations organized for profit. A Board of Ethics was created in the legislation to promulgate rules and regulations. City Solicitor Romulo L. Diaz will also be present to answer any questions that might arise about the legislation.
The program begins at 12 p.m. in the 11th Floor Conference Center of Bar Association headquarters, 1101 Market St. Lunch is available for $7.50 for those members who register in advance. Click here to RSVP for this program.
