Barrister's MLK Memorial Breakfast and Day of Service Jan. 15
The Barristers Association of Philadelphia is sponsoring a special memorial breakfast on Jan. 15 to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
At the event, the Association also presents awards to various attorneys in the Philadelphia area who have used the profession of law to make significant contributions towards the advancement of justice, the development of legal academia, or in community service.
The breakfast, which is being held at The View, 800 N. Broad St., 8th floor, begins at 7:30 a.m. and continues until 10:00 a.m.

Seating
- Law Firms & For-Profit Organizations: $350 for a table - seats 10, and includes a full-page advertisement in the MLK Memorial Breakfast Event Program.
- Government & Non-Profit Organizations: $275 for a table - seats 10, and includes listing as a Event Supporter in the MLK Memorial Breakfast Event Program.
- Individual Seats: $30
- Seats for Law Students, Public Interest Attorneys, Non-Profit Organization Employees, and Children under 18 yrs.: $25
Day of Service
In addition, to the Breakfast, the Barristers Association will participate in a Day of Service volunteer project benefiting the Nicetown Boys and Girls Club in North Philadelphia. The Association is inviting all of the Breakfast attendees to participate as it works to brighten this safe haven for children, and works to stem the rising tide of violence in Philadelphia. There will also be a violence prevention workshop, Get Real About Violence, for children ages 6-12.
