Mary Robinson's Quarterly Meeting Keynote Address Available on Podcast
Mary Robinson, the first woman to serve as president of Ireland and the former United Nations high commissioner for human rights, delivered the keynote address at the Bar Association's Oct. 30 Quarterly Meeting and Luncheon. Listen to her remarks here.President Judge Louis J. Presenza of Philadelphia Municipal Court and former Women in the Profession Committee Chair Roberta D. Pichini were also honored at the event, which was held at the Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellevue.
Presenza was selected as the recipient of the 2006 Justice William J. Brennan Jr. Distinguished Jurist Award. The award recognizes a jurist who adheres to the highest ideals of judicial service. Listen to his remarks here.
Pichini received the Sandra Day O'Connor Award, which is conferred annually on a woman attorney who has demonstrated superior legal talent, achieved significant legal accomplishments and has furthered the advancement of women in both the profession and the community.
