Philadelphia Bar Association to Offer Free Legal Advice on July 21
Area residents who need legal advice can receive it at no charge by calling LegalLine P.M. on Wednesday, July 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. for free and confidential legal information. By calling (215) 238-6333, residents can talk to a volunteer attorney from the Philadelphia Bar Association about any aspect of the law including, but not limited to, family law issues, landlord/tenant disputes, wills and employment.LegalLine P.M., sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division on the third Wednesday of each month from 5 to 8 p.m., is a public-service program designed to provide quick and accurate legal advice to the Philadelphia community.
Over the past 13 years, the program's volunteer lawyers have been able to help thousands of area residents either directly or by referring callers to an appropriate source.
As it has for more than 50 years, the Philadelphia Bar Association also provides lawyer referrals to area residents through its Lawyer Referral and Information Service. Staff attorneys take calls from the general public and refer callers to attorneys in private practice for a 30-minute consultation at a reduced fee of only $25. If the caller does not need an attorney or cannot afford one, the caller will be directed to a legal services organization, agency or other resource for assistance. Simply call (215) 238-6333 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
