Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association to Present Annual Awards on February 23
The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Philadelphia Bar Association will honor three outstanding individuals and a corporation for their contributions to the legal community at its Annual Meeting, February 23 at the Westin Philadelphia.
, an assistant city solicitor in the Major Tax Unit of the City of Philadelphia Law Department, will receive the Craig M. Perry Award, presented annually to a young lawyer who has devoted substantial time and energy to community-oriented activities, including, but not limited to, pro bono and charity work. Stella Tsai
, a partner with Archer & Greiner, P.C. and Robert S. Tintner, a partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, will receive The Sean Peretta Award, presented annually to members of the legal community who exhibit exceptional community service. Kroll
, a world-leading risk consulting company for over 30 years, will receive the YLD Vision Award, presented annually to an organization – whether law firm, business corporation, non profit, or other group – that has provided outstanding support to the YLD in the fulfillment of its mission. Commentator Chris Matthews of MSNBC’s “Hardball” will give the keynote remarks at the Annual Meeting and YLD Chair Brian Chacker of Gay Chacker & Mittin, P.C. will discuss his plans for 2009.

Nikki Johnson-Huston is co-chair of the Women in the Profession Public Interest Task Force and was the Treasurer of West Philadelphia Childcare Network, where she worked to advocate for the strengthening of early childhood education in West and Southwest Philadelphia. Johnson-Huston also serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children, where she assists in providing educational support to undeserved children in and out of school.
Stella Tsai is a longtime Executive Committee member for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania and serves as Chair of the Board of the Women’s Law Project . She is a well-known advocate for the Asian Pacific community, where her accomplishments include winning a 10-year battle to secure asylum for a Chinese refugee. Tsai was recently appointed by Mayor Michael A. Nutter to the Philadelphia Zoning Code Commission, tasked with rewriting the City’s outdated Zoning Code.
Robert Tintner regularly presents seminars throughout the Commonwealth on professional responsibility, the avoidance of legal malpractice, and title insurance. He has served on the board of directors for Options and the Senior Law Center of Philadelphia and has been named a "Pennsylvania Rising Star" by Philadelphia Magazine
