Memorial Scholarship Fund Established in the Name of Barbara W. Freedman
The Barbara W. Freedman Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established at Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. The Scholarship Fund honors the memory of Barbara W. Freedman, a partner at Duane Morris LLP and chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Tax Section, who passed away suddenly on April 5.
Barbara was an enthusiastic supporter of Temple Law School; not only did she get her law degree from Temple, but she taught in the Tax LL.M. there and was a very active and supportive alumna. The Scholarship Fund will generate an annual scholarship of at least $1,000 to a Tax LL.M. student who embodies Barbara's characteristics. The Fund was established through the generous support of the Association's Tax Section, Duane Morris LLP, individuals affiliated with the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, and friends and colleagues of Barbara Freedman.
