This program will be in addition to the regular LegalLine P.M. through which area residents can call in for free legal advice. By calling 215-238-6333, residents can talk to a volunteer attorney from the Philadelphia Bar Association about any aspect of the law. A bilingual attorney from the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania will also be available to answer questions for Spanish-speaking callers. Residents can ask questions related to a variety of legal topics including family law issues, landlord/tenant disputes, wills and employment.
LegalLine P.M., sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 5 to 8 p.m., is a public-service program designed to provide quick and accurate legal advice to the Philadelphia community.
As it has for more than 50 years, the Philadelphia Bar Association also provides free legal advice to area residents through its Lawyer Referral and Information Service. Staff attorneys take calls from the general public and provide answers to general legal questions free of charge, and can also refer callers to attorneys in private practice for a 30-minute consultation at a reduced fee of only $25. Simply call 215-238-6333 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
