The new interviews feature Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey and Councilwoman Maria D. Quiñones-Sánchez. Both newcomers to the their roles — Ramsey recently took the reins of the city's police department following a six-year stint as head of the Washington, D.C. police, and Quinones began her first term as the 7th District Councilwoman in January — they spoke to the Bar Association about their leadership styles and about leaders who have inspired them. | read more On Your Marks: Association's Annual 5K Run/Walk Set for May 18 More than 700 runners and walkers will make their way along Martin Luther King Drive on Sunday, May 18 at 8:30 a.m. for the Association's 29th Annual 5K Run/Walk. The event will include both a 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) run and a 5-kilometer walk, both of which can be entered by individuals. Legal and company teams can enter the team competition in the run. A lifelong champion of individual rights, Judge Higginbotham had a legal career that spanned nearly half a century.
