Dependency/Juvenile Committee

The Dependency/Juvenile Committee of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association is comprised of attorneys who work in the Juvenile Branch of the Family Court of Philadelphia or are interested in child welfare issues.  The Committee provides a forum to all attorneys representing parties to dependency cases, including representatives of parents, children, and the Department of Human Services to come together and discuss recent developments in relevant law and practice.  The Committee makes recommendations to the court regarding improvements in procedure and also reviews and comments on pending state legislation relevant to dependency court and child welfare issues.  We meet quarterly at the Bar Association offices.  For the next meeting date and time, please call the Association office at (215) 238-6300, or e-mail one of the committee co-chairs.
