BOARD OF GOVERNORS SEATS FOR ASSOCIATION OF LAW FIRM ADMINISTRATORS
AND PHILADELPHIA ASSOCIATION OF PARALEGALS

WHEREAS, the Philadelphia Bar Association seeks to address the concerns and promote the interests of the Philadelphia legal community as well as the community at large;

WHEREAS, legal assistants, paralegals and law firm administrators are an integral part of the Philadelphia legal community;

WHEREAS, the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Association of Law Firm Administrators as well as the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Philadelphia Association of Paralegals have worked cooperatively to address the concerns and promote the interests of the Philadelphia legal community;

WHEREAS, the Philadelphia Bar Association wishes to continue and expand the cooperative efforts undertaken with these organizations;

WHEREAS, the presence of a liaison from each of these organizations on the Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors would facilitate the exchange of ideas among the organization and the continuation of such cooperative efforts;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association supports the appointment of one representative from the Association of Law Firm Administrators, who shall be a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association pursuant to Section 100(A)(2)(c) of the Association Bylaws, and one representative from the Philadelphia Association of Paralegals, who shall be a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association pursuant to Section 100(A)(2)(b) of the Association Bylaws, to serve as non-voting liaisons to the Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors. Said appointments shall be made each year for a one year term by the respective presidents and/or governing bodies of the Association of Law Firm Administrators and the Philadelphia Association of Paralegals.
