WHEREAS, in December 2001, Philadelphia Bar Association Chancellor Allan Gordon empanelled a Pro Bono Task Force to comprehensively evaluate the need for, and the delivery of, pro bono legal services to the needy, disadvantaged and disenfranchised in Philadelphia;

WHEREAS, the Pro Bono Task Force, after extensive research and investigation, submitted a Report, including Findings and Recommendations ("the Report") to the Board of Governors on June 27, 2002;

WHEREAS, the Board of Governors, after discussion and upon oral motion made and duly seconded, accepted the Report for comment and study;

WHEREAS, numerous recommendations of the Report have been adopted by the Board of Governors;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on a date not more than six months from the date the recommendations have been adopted, the various committees and implementation teams will give a status report to the Board of Governors on the progress of the implementation of the recommendations.
