Human Resources & Employee Relations Committee

The Human Resources & Employee Relations Committee of the Business Law Section generally meets at 8:30 AM on the fourth Friday of each month. The Committee may be of interest to attorneys practicing labor and/or employment law on the plaintiff’s or defendant’s side, management or union, as well as government and in-house labor and employment counsel, employee benefits counsel, employee relations managers and anyone who advises clients on human resources-related matters.
Our meetings are often attended by non-attorney clients and guests who work in human resources management, consulting and alternate dispute resolution. Speakers, presenters and panelists for the meetings may be members of the Committee or guests invited from any of these disciplines, or from government agencies or third-party service providers. This eclectic mix of participants provides our members a unique opportunity to network, interact and share expertise with other lawyers practicing labor and employment law as well as with clients and professionals in fields that are vitally related to our practice. For this reason, our meetings tend to include a large measure of lively and provocative discussion.
